C4 envelopes

The C4 envelope is the largest size that we’ll discuss today, slightly bigger than an A4 sheet of paper.

This size is ideal for sending documents without folding them, making it perfect for mailing certificates, important documents, brochures, or magazines. Make sure your office is well stocked with this versatile size.

C5 envelopes

The C5 envelope is a traditional-sized option, slightly larger than an A5 sheet of paper or, for easier reference, an A4 piece of paper folded in half.

This envelope size is commonly used for sending greeting cards and wedding invitations. In the business world, they’re often used for sending longer letters, as you can fit more pages into an envelope by folding A4 sheets in half.

C6 envelopes

The C6 envelope is the smallest size in our list. While it’s not as common in the postbox as other envelopes, it’s still worth keeping a supply on hand.

C6 size envelopes are typically used to send smaller items such as camera and phone memory cards or USB sticks.

DL envelopes

DL-sized envelopes are prevalent for official correspondence. These envelopes often have a small, see-through window so the recipient can see their name and address.

With DL envelopes, pages are folded into thirds, making them suitable for one to three-page letters.

DL+ envelopes

DL+ envelopes are very similar to DL envelopes, but they offer slightly more space. These envelopes are designed for A4 sheets folded into thirds, just like the DL size, but provide extra room for a more comfortable fit.

Square envelopes

As the name suggests, square envelopes are designed to send square-shaped documents such as greeting cards and wedding invitations.

Though not very common in postboxes, they’re handy to have around the office for special events.
